Interest in Moses cooled?

Everton have reportedly cooled their interest in signing Chelsea’s Victor Moses after being told the player is only available for sale, and not on loan.

The 22-year-old played under new Everton manager Roberto Martinez at Wigan but has failed to establish himself in the Chelsea side.

This prompted Martinez to make an enquiry to take the Nigerian on loan, but with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho keen to offload the player on a permanent basis, Everton may be forced to look elsewhere.

Having already signer four players this summer, Martinez is keen to sign another striker and at least one central midfielder. The club have also been linked with Toby Alderweireld of Ajax, Alessandro Matri of Juventus and links for Spain internationals Negredo and Soldado have resurfaced.

Many of the key issues in this coming Premiership season – but particularly the title race – are liable to be hard to put good bets on, because so many changes have taken place since the end of last season. The new managers, plus the absence of early transfer dealings, make it hard to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the two Manchester sides and Chelsea – although the bookies have put the Red Devils in the position of favourites, on 9/4 to retain their crown. Depending on how they do in the transfer market, some football betting fanatics may have an eye on Arsenal at 12/1, but they would need to match their managerial stability with marquee signings.

The relegation battle is equally tough to call right now – again because we do not know how the squads will shape up after the transfer dealings – but the bookmakers clearly see two of the promoted clubs (Hull and Crystal Palace) as hot favourites to go down, at 4/7 and 7/10 respectively. This suggests that these sides will need to seriously strengthen over the next couple of weeks, but it seems rash to put bets down ahead of the window closing, when the alternative of mixing football and betting via online casino gambling also exists.

The casino sites like Gaming Club online casino have a very healthy range of football themed games – usually slots – which should ensure that there is something to suit any fan of the game looking for something different from the usual betting action. One game that has grabbed the attentions of many fans is the Soccer Safari video slot – which is due as much to the funny idea behind it of animated animals playing each other at football – as it is to the strong jackpot of $8000. Nonetheless ultimately even the most hardcore football devotee gambles in the hope of winning a payout and football based slots like this do present a great chance of that – thanks to wild icons on the reels and multiple pay lines.
