Moyes to discuss transfer plans

By • May 12th, 2012 • Category: News |

Everton manager David Moyes will meet up with Chairman Bill Kenwright in the next “week or two” to discuss transfer plans and his own contract.

The 49-year-old only has a year left on his current deal, and whilst he describes the situation as not “absolutely desperate”, the chairman will be eager to secure Moyes’ long-term future to the club as soon as possible.

After the influential January singings of Nikica Jelavic and Darron Gibson, Moyes believes his side does “not need an awful lot” in terms of transfers this summer but claims he just needs “to know there is a chink of light.”

The impact of loan signing Steven Pienaar will mean capturing the South African’s services on a permanent basis will be high on the manager’s list of priorities this summer.
