Everton have been linked with a move for Olympiacos defender Olof Mellberg.

Before joining Olympiacos, the 34-year-old central defender previously played for Juventus and formerly Aston Villa, making 260 appearances for the Birmingham-based club over 7 seasons.

And now according to reports, the Swedish international – who is out of contract in June – is reportedly the subject of a bid from the Toffees.

Perhaps a move for the experienced central defender could mean Heitinga or Jagielka are on their way out of Goodison Park summer.
