Everton have rejected a £3m bid from Leicester for striker Jermain Beckford.

The 27-year old arrived on a free transfer from Leeds United last summer and scored 10 goals last season.

With funds tight at Goodison Park, reports now suggest Leicester will return with an improved offer. And whilst David Moyes will consider selling his forward if the price is right, that price will certainly have to be at least double Leicester’s seemingly derisory opening offer.
