Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger will attempt to prize Everton defender Phil Jagielka to the Emirates this summer.

Jagielka, 28, has been subject to interest from Arsenal for over two years but Everton have repeatedly rebuffed any interest in the England international.

Wenger now hopes for a different outcome – with the Frenchman poised to bid £15m for the central defender’s services.
