Senderos signs up

Everton have added to what has already been a more busy January transfer window than normal with the signing of Swiss defender Philippe Senderos who has joined on loan from Arsenal until the end of the season as he seeks more regular first team football. The centre-back will be seen as a replacement for Lucas Neill who left Everton for Galatasaray last week after a 4 month spell with the Toffees. Senderos joins Everton’s 4 other centre-backs, but with Joseph Yobo and Phil Jagielka unavailable, provides much needed cover after the depature of Neill. The Senderos deal certainly does not mean the end of David Moyes’ transfer business this month, after Jo’s loan period was cut short last week due to breaking club discipline Everton are rumoured to be trying to tie up a deal to bring AC Milan star Klaas Jan Huntelaar to Goodison on another loan move to replace him.
