FIFA confirm no foul-play over Fellaini

FIFA have today confirmed to Everton officials that Marouane Fellaini is allowed to play against Wolves on Saturday after the Belgian FA tried to invoke the “5 day rule”. Fellaini had struck an agreement with coach Dick Advocaat that he could miss Wednesday’s irrelevant World Cup Qualifier as Fellaini required surgery to remove a wisdom tooth that had given him an infection. Fellaini has been playing through the pain in recent weeks and could not continue to delay the operation. FIAFA have however confirmed that “the 5 day rule” which states that a player who refuses to play for their national team when called up is not allowed to play for their club for 5 days after the game, has not been broken by Everton or Fellaini
