FollowEverton understands that Sylvain Distin is set to sign for Everton. The 31 year old defender wants to leave Portsmouth and Everton are in need of two centre-backs due to the departure of Joleon Lescott and the injury to Phil Jagielka. Sky Sports claim Everton have had a bid accepted and are in the box seat but sources close to FollowEverton believe the deal is much further along than that and Distin may be having a medical today prior to joining the Blues.
