Medical for Lescott
By Ian Phillips • Aug 23rd, 2009 • Category: News |Everton have conceded defeat in the battle to keep Joleon Lescott and the player is due to have a medical at Manchester City. The fee is rumoured to be between £22m and £25m and it is unknown whether Richard Dunne will be included in a deal. Even if Dunne does re-join the Blues Everton will need another centre-back to replace Lescott with Steven Taylor expected to sign. However Taylor isn’t of the calibre of Lescott and Everton will now have no cover at left-back so another player will need to be signed to fill that position. After today’s defeat to Burnley Everton are in trouble until signings are made and the core of the team is fit again.
