FollowEverton sources understand that Newcastle United centre-back Steven Taylor will have a medical at Finch Farm on Monday prior to a move to Goodison Park.  The fee is unknown as of yet but is expected to be around £6 million. Newspaper reports claim a move for Philippe Senderos has broken down and Everton have moved swiftly on to sign defensive cover. Moyes stated today that he hopes for some new additions “within the next 48 hours”

Taylor is known for being a passionate player who’s commitment shone through in the European U21s championship in 2007 where despite having a bad injury, Taylor, the captain, played on through extra-time and scored a penalty, though England went on to loose the epic shoot-out.
