Everton have today rejected a formal transfer request from Joleon Lescott. A few days ago we brought you the news that City had given up the chase, however with Lescott having formally asked for a transfer the situation has changed. City are likely to make a higher offer and that may prove too good to turn down for a player who doesn’t want to be an Everton player
