Transfer update: Hutton Goodison-bound?
By Ian Phillips • Jul 26th, 2009 • Category: News |Reports suggest Everton have had a £7m bid accepted by Spurs for right-back Alan Hutton. Everton’s valuation of the player was £5m whilst Spurs valued him at £9m and it seems the two clubs have come to a compromise to make the deal happen. Spurs have just signed 2 new right-backs including Everton target Kyle Naughton deeming Hutton surplus to requirements. Hutton, a Scottish international, was one of the best players for Rangers before he moved to White Hart Lane in a £9m deal in January 2008 and would be Everton’s first choice right-back providing competiton for Tony Hibbert and Phil Neville.
