There has been some confusion over the deal to bring Kyle Naughton to Goodison Park. Sheffield United confirmed on Friday that Everton had been given permission to talk to Naughton but it is now believed that Spurs have had a bid accepted. Some reports claim they have matched Everton’s bid and it will be up to the player to decide however others claim that Spurs have made a higher bid and Sheffield United have forbidden Naughton from attending his medial at Finch Farm which was scheduled for today. We expect further news within the next few days.

Elsewhere Lorik Cana has claimed that should his proposed move to Hamburg fall through then Everton are interested in his signature. Cana said that Everton are a good club and he’d like to play in the Premier League. Cana is expected to leave Marseille after former Everton target Stephane M’Bia signed last week
