England Under-21 international James Milner has signed for Premier League rivals Aston Villa from Newcastle United.

If the rumours that Everton wanted the young winger were true, Everton have missed out on another player this summer.

Milner, who spent the 2005-06 season on loan at Villa, scoring three goals in 33 League and cup appearances, has returned signing a four year deal.

The 22-year-old completed a medical earlier this morning.

As a Villa fan, I am pleased we have actually beaten another team to a transfer target! Most of ours this summer have been snapped up by other clubs or extended their contracts with current clubs. Good Luck in the UEFA Cup, think you probably have the hardest tie and group but hope to see you in the final!
