Moyes set to sign deal?
By Unclassified • Jul 13th, 2008 • Category: News |The news that all Evertonians have been pulling their hair out waiting to hear is apparently due to be revealed.
Everton manager, David Moyes, is apparently ready to sign a new five year contract, at a reported ยฃ3million a year, making him one of top six earners in the Premier League. This deal will not only allay fears that we would risk losing our fiery Scot, but will also reassure many Evertonians that he has been given assurances that he will be backed with the funds to challenge for silverware, and that his ambitious five year plan, which includes the expansion of a scouting system to be level with the likes of Arsenal and United, has been backed as Everton and Moyes aim to break the stranglehold of the top 4.
This deal, which will take Moyes to 2013, will make him the second longest serving Everton manager, only one year behind Harry Catterickโs illustrious twelve year reign between 1961 following the infamous sacking of Johnny Carey in the back of a taxi, and 1973 when he became a senior executive due to ill health.
With the deal expected to be announced in the next fortnight, the news team at FollowEverton will, with a huge sigh of relief, give you the best possible reaction to this story once it is confirmed.
