Its one date on the calendar that all Evertonians have been waiting for. The Premier League fixtures have officially come out today. Everton’s first fixture of the season is home to Blackburn on August 16th. The following week the Toffees travel down to newly promoted West Brom. Then on the 30th August it’s back at Goodison Park for a match against Harry Redknapp’s Portsmouth.

After an international break it’s back on the road for Everton who travel to newly promoted Stoke on the 13th September. The following week Everton are again on their travels and again it is against one of the new three promoted teams in the form of Hull. Then on the 27th September it will be the first Merseyside game of the season when Everton will lock horns with Liverpool at Goodison Park. Everton will be looking for some revenge after last years incident packed game.

Other important fixtures in the calendar include away to Middlesboro on Boxing Day. The last game of the season will be away to Fulham on the 24th May. Notably, there will be very tough run of games in January for Everton who have to face Liverpool (away) on the 17th, then Arsenal (home) on the 28th and finally Manchester United (away) on the 31st.

There is no doubt that a lot of the games will be subject to change because of factors such as Sky, Setanta and playing in Europe. These changes will be made during the next few weeks and months.

  1. I predicted Blackburn away for the first game of the season so I was nearly spot on 🙂

  2. I think Engelaar snubs us. Remember our article on that the other day. 😆

Fixtures are decent. We can’t do the rest due to copyright. 😆 😆
