Yakubu completes move to Blackburn Rovers

Yakubu has completed his transfer to Blackburn Rovers. The Nigerian who joined the club for a club record fee of £11.25m from Middlesbrough in 2007 was an instant hit at Everton, scoring 20 goals in his first season. However the following season he sustained a ruptures Achilles at White Hart Lane and was out of action for over a year. Having never recaptured his previous form the Yak was loaned out to Leicester last year and has now finally left the club on a permanent basis.
We all wish the Yak the very best of luck for the future.

  1. i have followed everton for forty years, home and away, but the time has come to put my season ticket in the bin.although arteta hasn,t done well for the past 18months,to sell him him on deadline day is down to pure bad business from kenwright.we already have a small squad, were worse now.we are badly run.there is no way jordan henderson is worth twice as much as arteta.i am dissapointed and me and my family have come to the decision that we will become armchair supporters now, because i amsick of all the b.s coming out of goodison, and we are going to struggle this season, and i for one cannot bare to watch my beloved blues demise.one very angry ex parkender.
