Ian Phillips – Author & Forum Moderator

Our highly respected forum moderator, Ian also contributes towards our social media pages and the editorial output of the site.

Ian was born a blue and has been his whole life despite living in East Anglia with no connections to the city of Liverpool. Ian is a student and is a shareholder at the club. Mike Brandon – Forum Moderator

Mike joined the FollowEverton team when it was known as FollowFollowEverton (FFE) and decided to stick around. Mike worked in the original moderator team and has continued in this role ever since. He is now the Communications Officer and takes on the duty of dealing with member queries and complaints be it with technical problems and advice to grievances with other members. If you have any questions about the site or would like advice on anything, direct them to Mike ( toffeebrandon on the forum or email mike[at]followeverton.com) and he’ll be glad to help.

Mike’s Everton life came from family and his first game was with his uncle, sat in the Gwladys Street as Everton drew 1-1 with Arsenal in October 1994 with David Unsworth scoring the opener. A few days later he witnessed Gary Ablett head home for Everton’s first league win of the season over West Ham, and his first season in the stands saw him witness all but the FA Cup Final itself where Paul Rideout and Neville Southall cemented themselves as heroes. Its been a long time and much suffering since then, the lowest point being boro fans singing Never Walk Alone at the Riverside after dumping us out of the FA Cup 3-0 in 2002, but Mike looks forward to the 2008-9 season with much optimism. His favourite bluenoses include Duncan Ferguson, Neville Southall, Alan Stubbs, Andrei Kanchelskis and Tim Cahill and also believes Kevin Campbell should never be forgotten for his part in Everton history. His most prized Everton possession is a signed (by Howard Kendall) picture of himself as a baby sat in the Cup Winner’s Cup in ’85.

Liam White –  Writer, Match Reporter, Featured articles

Liam writes some of most entertaining articles for Everton with his unique writing style. A lifelong blue, who, like every other blue, feels the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end as that drumbeat kicks, like every other blue chants until his voice goes coarse and of course, with immense pride, supports the premier team in the L4 postal district. A season ticket holder since the mid 90s, Liam, after a few years out in St Helens, has returned to Liverpool, home of the blues. Whilst contributing to FollowEverton.com, Liam also works with several small companies and has mildly successfully dabbled in comedy. Liam’s favourite player is Neville Southall, who saved one of his greatest performances for Liam’s favourite match, the 1995 FA Cup Final.

Karl Hinchcliffe –  Forum Moderation

If anyone who knew Karl was asked for one word that they would associate him with it would be Everton. Karl is a 5th generation Everton supporter, has held a season ticket since the late 80’s and hasn’t missed a game home or away for nearly a decade. He cites ‘that’ game against Wimbledon along with Duncan’s 1-0 victory against Manchester United as his favourites for clearly differing reasons. Going back through the ages he regards The Golden Vision as his favourite player, as his style of play was a sight to behold.

Not only is Karl a popular forum member and occasional writer, Karl works as a business consultant – but only when Everton haven’t got a game!
