Newsicon FE GOLD - Takeover rumour
2010: Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr al-Qassimi, member of a ruling family in the United Arab Emirates, has bought a majority stake in an unnamed Premier League club.
Sheikh Ahmed, a member of the ruling family Ras al-Khaimah, will be honorary chairman of the club.
Ras al-Khaimah is one of seven members in the UAE federation which also includes key oil producer Abu Dhabi and regional trade and tourism hub Dubai. (WAM news agency)

RE: Takeover rumour
interesting as I found a few examples of some SWF's and have a look at the difference between this 3. one is owned by the royal family that own city, one is the QIA linked with us in the past and the other is these guys:

Abu Dhabi Investment Authority- $627 billion
Qatar Investment Authority- $62 billion
RAK Investment Authority- $1.2 billion

not big players like Crazy

RE: Takeover rumour
who could it be?

Arsenal - no
Villa - no
Blackburn - unlikely
Bolton - unlikely
Birmingham - probably not
Burnley - unlikely
Chelsea - no
Everton - possibly
Fulham - very unlikely
Hull - unlikely
Liverpool - possibly
Man Utd - no
Man City - no
Pompey - no
Sunderland - no
Stoke - unlikely
Spurs - maybe but I doubt it
West Ham - no
Wigan - no
Wolves - unlikely

By my reckoning its either us or Liverpool. Most clubs have already had takeovers or are far less attractive than us. This could be it!
