LESCOTT ON THE FANS
Everton beat Europa League-chasing east London outfit West Ham United by three goals to one on Saturday thanks to a Louis Saha brace, and a Joseph Yobo effort.

The players performed a lap of honour at the final whistle as the penultimate Premier League game of the season was their final home game, before David Moyes takes his team to Fulham this weekend.

"The lap we did after the final whistle was special," Lescott explained to the Liverpool Daily Post.

"The fans have been there for us all season and it was a time for them.

"It’s always important for us to applaud them for their support as much as it is for them to applaud us.

"They have been massive and away teams come here knowing it’s going to be hard for them because our fans are brilliant," he concluded.

Everton also have an FA Cup-final to prepare for. The Toffees face Chelsea in the annual curtain-closer on Saturday May 30.

SCOUSE BY BIRTH, ENGLISH BY LAW, EVERTONIAN BY THE GRACE OF GOD
