If you bet on that twice, you'll be twice as rich, or like me, twice as poor.

From the bbc webshite.....

BECKHAM TO PARIS ST GERMAIN
"Je prends les coups francs?" I'm not sure how good Becks' French is (hopefully better than mine!), but will it matter? No, according to Matt Spiro in Paris.

"David Beckham shouldn't have any communication trouble in the dressing room. PSG's English speakers include the manager Carlo Ancelotti, his two assistants Claude Makelele and Englishman Paul Clement, as well as Maxwell, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Christophe Jallet, Gregory van der Wiel, Zoumana Camara (once of Leeds) and ex-Chelsea defender Alex. He could also practice his Spanish with the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi and Javier Pastore."

The media conference to unveil David Beckham as a PSG player will be shown live on this website from 16:00 GMT.

Whoopie-feckin-goldberg Doh What is it with the arse-kissin' ego-inflatin' parade for the dumbass sonofabitch? Why's that deemed worthy of a live press conference fafsAngry26

This government's got a hard-on for the weakest in society; punishin' the disabled for things they haven't done, and spreadin' nefarious, downright poisonous nazi-style shite like people should castigate the unemployed because it's their fault they're unemployed - but let's all rejoice that the biggest imbecile of them all has signed another ultra-lucrative deal for another team in another foreign country .

f***'s sake.

Like there's BRITISH charities that could do with the dough? NSPCC? 'Full stop' campaign? Whistle??

Oh sorry - he's not gonna 'benefit' the PL with his presence, is he?

But then again - I'm sure he doesn't need the money.

Premier League footballer Raheem Sterling has been charged with assaulting a woman.

The 18-year-old Liverpool and England winger from Woolton, Liverpool, was summonsed to Liverpool Youth Court on a charge of common assault.

Police said a 27-year-old suffered "slight" facial injuries in an alleged incident in Toxteth on 2 November.

Mr Sterling did not attend the hearing but his solicitor said he denies the allegation.

He said the alleged offence took place when the footballer was 17 but, as he turned 18 in December, the matter should be transferred to the adult courts.

Solicitor Mick Hogan said: "I do have instructions to the effect that Mr Sterling will be pleading not guilty to this charge.

"He is aware of today's hearing and the club are very supportive."

The move to the adult courts was supported by the prosecution and Chairman of the Bench Brian Upton adjourned the matter to Liverpool Magistrates' Court on 22 February.

Sterling made his senior international debut for England last November against Sweden.

SSig_agreed Even as far back as the dole-cheat tommy schmidt.......sorry smith. Might be the 'analfailed iron' to them, but to me & thousands of others, he'll always be that catapult-fed racist shithouse from 'Scotty'.

For those of you who had either forgotten, or didn't already know what I'm on about, here's an example....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_Smith...born_1945)

In 1988, Smith caused considerable controversy after making derogatory comments about black people to author Dave Hill while being interviewed in the Adelphi Hotel in Liverpool for a book Hill was writing about black Liverpool F.C player John Barnes. Smith was uncomplimentary about Howard Gayle, a black former Liverpool player with whom Smith had been at the club in the 1970s while the striker was a youth team player, saying that: "Howard suffered from a black man's attitude towards the white man. See, everybody thinks whites have an attitude towards blacks. In reality it's blacks who have a problem with the whites".[5]

Smith later added that in order to gain his respect and friendship, "coloured" people have to learn to "think like the white man" and that he later grew to like Gayle, remarking that "I used to call Howard the 'White Nigger'. Now that is a compliment. It was the only way I could find to describe that I thought he was OK." Smith then went on to comment to Hill that "I'm not prejudiced but if a coon moved in next door, I'd move, like most white people would. If my daughter came home with a nigger, I'd go mad. But I'm only being truthful and normal." [5]

Very pleasant, affable folks, them kopites.

Can't believe spurs got Holtby for £1.5m, he looks f***ing brilliant. Wish we'd made a bigger effort to get him
Guess who's been banned from The Everton Forum?
