Whilst the new home shirt has been available on football shirt websites for all to see for the past couple of weeks, there’s still normally some excitement about the official launch with the players wearing the full kit. So Tim Cahill might find himself in trouble with the Everton merchandising team this afternoon after he inadvertently revealed this season’s kit to his 15,000 twitter followers by putting a picture of him and Kaka from the recent FIFA 12 shoot as his display picture. Cahill, who has had the account for quite a while but only this weekend started to tweet regularly, has since changed his profile picture

The main headline from the picture is that it is indeed the shirt that has been circling the internet, but as an added surprise it would appear Everton are reverting to blue socks for next season.
