The future of David Moyes

A lot of things over the last few months have really annoyed me with many clubs getting linked to David Moyes. I think its complete nonsense. For a start. The Man Utd job is controlled by Ferguson. The person who takes over when he retires is likely to be his choice. So why oh why would be pick Moyes when he’s CLEARLY been moulding his son in his image over the years? First he teaches him the ropes when he was at Man Utd as a reserve in the early 90s. Then he sends him out to foreign teams and uses him as a scout like he scouted out Ruud Van Nistelrooy for Man Utd during his time in Holland. Now that he has actually went into management he is doing amazing at Peterborough. He took over the club around 2 and a half years ago. They were struggling at the bottom end of the football league. They were close to relegation when he came in. In his first half of the season he successfully guided them to safety and the next 2 seasons got them promoted in succession. That’s showing he has the quality in his management skills to get a club so far in so little time. So its CLEAR he is going to be the successor to Sir Alex Ferguson. If you don’t trust anything I’ve said just look it up.

Now for Celtic. Yes Moyes has said one day that he would like to go back to manage his boyhood club and Scotland. But he also said in that interview that it would be when he was in the twilight of his career. There is still a LONG time for that to come. Right now he has only just turned 46. That means we could still have him for another 14-15 years before he goes on to do his dreams of running Scotland’s national team and Celtic. Currently its obvious that he is committed to his job at Everton. He wouldn’t have signed for another 5 years if he though he was going to leave a couple of months into it. He is a very honourable man and is true to his word. I can guarantee he will be here till the end of this contract at least. So why do Everton fans put an depressing slant on things. He’s clearly here to make us big again. Whether it be 2-3 years or 8-9. Its clear that he plans on winning the Premiership with Everton. That was clear for all to see in his interview with Gabby Logan the other day. Why would he want to leave a competitive league when he is a competitor is his attitude to go to the two horse race old firm when he is getting amazing experiences in the Premiership.
