If you think his passing is 'adequate' and think that's acceptable then you have lower standards than I, but I think not only is his passing inadequate, but his positioning, tackling etc. are sh*t. you can't say the same in reverse because i'm using figures and facts to prove a point. He's also clearly not one of the worst players to pull on a shirt i can name plenty worse. |

Unsworth had 1 of the best passing ratios a few seasons ago, this involved him launching the ball and Duncan getting a touch on the ball therefore giving him a pass completion. Stats are rubbish, everyone can see with there own eyes how limited Neville is, its embarrassing he is our capt |

Excuse me but I believe my argument is more than rational - you're the one getting defensive. Phil Neville is a bad player, what's irrational about that statment? I know plenty about defensive midfielders, I liked Roy Keane, Claude Makelele, I like Lassana Diarra, Javier Mascherano (even though he's RS), Joe Parkinson etc. players like that whose laces PTD isn't fit to tie. Religion and the belief in God makes people stupid. |

RE: heitinga
I'm not saying he's world class but few if any of our payers are. By that logic should you compare arteta to zidane and when he doesn't match up call him crap? Neville a competent player who does his best and can justify his inclusion in the squad, and last year certainly the team. He doesn't deserve the abuse he gets which is defintely irrational

As a player he is the worst capt of all time |

RE: heitinga
Neville is a good captain as he gets the best out of the more talented players in the team, and his attitude and habits he picked up under Ferguson at Man U also rub off on other players sometimes as well I think.
The problem for me that as a player hes not good enough so shouldnt be in the team for that reason, I would have Cahill as Captain personally. |

Surely that is Round and Moyes? Explain how Neville does this? |

The Captain reflects the manager normally, so Neville would be Moyes' voice on the pitch i.e reminding each player of their jobs during the game or having a go if any of em slack etc etc you know normal captain duties |
