Earlier than i thought, isn't it usualy August they start the same old shite "this is our year" "i think we can challenge for the title" "we are contenders" load of f****g balls to be honest, they are consistently out of the title race by mid November, and Steven G*rrard needs to reassure himself by saying all this, because he knows all too well, he's gonna retire without a league winners medal.

If the FA re-introduce the back-pass rule and two points for a win, then maybe, just maybe i might take Liverpool serious.

Ok, i'm going to be in the minority here but there's nothing wrong with the article. He basically says he doesn't wanna leave but he wants to win the league, fact is he is a world class player, they do have other decent players and apart from teams that have won the league, ie the top 3 they are the nearest challengers.
Ok I think it's fair to say they've been miles away in recent years, but, with some decent signings they could and should be getting closer.

Have you noticed whenever he gives an interview about their annual league "title challenge" - he always talks about himself winning the league & not the team................
