Moutinho or Fernandes

If push comes to shove guys and we were given the choice of either Moutinho or Fernandes at Goodison, who would you choose and what would be the reason for your choice?

Personally (and I am probably in the minority with my choice - due to some of the threads I've been reading lately), I would go for Manny because:

1) He knows the club and the rest of the squad

2) He would be about ten million £ less

3) I've seen enough of Manny to know that the potential and class are there (just needs a bit more nurturing)

4) I've only seen Moutinho in the Euros really and, much as I was impressed with his performances, he wasn't the player of the tournament was he?

Will Moutinho be able to cut it in the PL? £18m is a LOT of money for one player - will he add that much more to our squad?

Moutinho is leagues above Fernandes.

Id like Manny aswell but he is no where near as good Moutinho.

Moutinho, it shows are ambition more.
But, Moutinho, M'Bia or Kana and Fernandes on loan could all be done

This is, imo, is how it'll work out;

Moutinho = £20m (payable over a couple of years, £10m downpayment)
Manny = 6 month loan
Bent = £10m C.O.D.
M'baia = £4m
2 squad players (bosman's)

Total spent? = £24m!!!!!! 4 great players added to our squad!!!!!

No! We won't find good players on Bosmans now, and Bent! WTF? Mbaia? Manny on a six months loan? Why, what will he prove? What would be the point? Pemanent or nothing.

Fernandes has potential he proved that first time around but since he buggered of to Valencia he hasn't been the same.

That's a toughie cos I only ever saw Moutinho in the euro's and Manny wasn't exactly brilliant last season was he? So if push come to shove i'd go for............. Nigel De Jong!!!!!!!!:thumbsup:
