Niang's Ever ready: Toffees agree a deal for Arsenal-target striker

Italian giants AC Milan were also in for the teenage Caen forward but he's bound for Goodison Park after Moyes has a bid accepted

Boy in blue: Teenager Niang is set to sign for Everton

Everton boss David Moyes has won the signing race for French sensation M'Baye Niang - after agreeing a £2million-plus deal with Caen.

Moyes beat Arsenal and AC Milan in the chase - Manchester City and Tottenham were also contenders - and will bring the teenager in this weekend.

Niang spent time at Goodison earlier this month, as revealed by MirrorFootball, and Moyes used his new financial strength following the sale of Jack Rodwell to Manchester City to make the best offer.

Caen wanted as much money up front as possible and the Toffees have found the funds whereas the Gunners and Milan tried to make the French outfit settle for a small initial fee.

Niang should sort out personal terms quite quickly and seems happy with the deal despite language problems.

The young forward was more keen on becoming part of Arsenal's highly cosmopolitan squad, but has been guided by his father towards the more lucrative Merseyside

News Starting to spread on different websites. Just waiting for confirmation from ssn and OS. Might take a while as we are yet to start discussing personal terms.

Hmm I'm unconvinced. He was meant to be Milan bound the other day and was pictured at spurs lodge recently. Here's hoping anyway

RE: NIANG ON HIS WAY TO GOODISON
What's the big deal over him anyway? You do all understand that the reason the other clubs were/are interested is for the same reason as us - it's a £2m gamble?

Does it make him special because all these clubs are interested in him? Not in my opinion; those clubs get as many wrong as we do, the difference is, they can afford it much better than us, and our record of young players establishin' theirselves isn't too clever, is it?

Not too fussed about this one tbh. Hopefully he'll buck the trend, but I can't see it. Providing, of course, we're signin' him.

RE: NIANG ON HIS WAY TO GOODISON
Impressed everywhere he's been on trial. The difference, apparently, between our bid and the other clubs is that we are offering more upfront. Sounds like the others offered 1.5m + add-ons and we offered 2m + add-ons. Moyes has had a close look at him in FF and watched him a few times last season so I think he knows what he's getting. Plus, the kid is demanding first team football so he must be good enough if Moyes accepts this condition.
