Singing/Standing Area v Leyton Orient
I don't know if any of you have seen this that we started on Bluekipper, but a few of us are trying to re-etablish the old singing area that was behind the goal at the back of the Gwladys Street.
The idea is for anyone who wants to get behind the team more vocally and more often to be congregated by each other, rather than being sat by someone who wants to watch the match quietly, which in turn can make you quiter yourself. Ideally I'd also like to get some of the songs you hear in the pubs and coaches more established in the ground too. We've so far proved that the singing area does work if you get enough fans to go, we just need to get it a bit more established. We do struggle to get the word out to fans, after all out of the 80 odd thousand who make up our mid 30k average attendance at Goodison, we're only getting the word out to a few hundred on the internet, and only a small percentage of those are going to be the more more vocal type. So there's still a lot of groundwork to be done to build it up. Anyway, we're doing it for every Cup game within Lower Gwladys Street GT4 MM to PP 098-106. So if you're interested come down and help us out starting with the Leyton Orient match. |

Great idea, I think Celtic did something similar and really improved the atmosphere

RE: Singing/Standing Area v Leyton Orient
The atmosphere on GS used to be brilliant now it's like a morgue with people texting and talking sh*t on their phones. Great idea btw.
