Pienaar set to sign
Fee agreed - said to be £4.5m.

Paying him the same wages as he would have been given.

Medical on monday to be finalised Tuesday.

More than I would have liked to pay but I'd rather have him than not. I we can tie up a proper winger now and a perhaps a suprise Smile.
More importantly concentrate on keeping players.

RE: Pienaar set to sign
It's like sellin' your Tv because you can't afford the electricity to switch it on......Then buying the very same Tv back for more money.

Ridiculous, when you could get a new/newer one for the same money as you got when you sold it - or less (in terms of electric consumption, cost price, newer version & sell-on value.)

But because you know how the remote control works on the Tv, you're willin' to pay the extra dough, instead of learnin' how to work a new one.

Financial imbecility. I won't be expectin' a blu-ray player to go with it. There'll be no money for one for a loooooong time.
Anywho, IF the exppress have this right, I'll gladly take the above back......

STEVEN PIENAAR will complete his return to Everton from Tottenham tomorrow – for more than £1million less than the £3m Spurs paid for him 18 months ago.

The South African midfielder, who struggled to make an impact at Spurs, recaptured his old form after going back to Goodison on loan last January, with four goals in 14 games.

He will be manager David Moyes’ second summer signing following Steven Naismith from Rangers.

But I doubt they've got it right.

RE: Pienaar set to sign
the way i would like to look at it is we made 1,5m on pienaar to spurs and lost that when we sold him to spuds,we saved 6 months wages on him as well,we are buying him back on aug 1st so we saved anther 70k july wages to me no harm done.

Fair enuff.

I'll be lookin' at it that pienaar connived to make the payrise he was after originally. Given that he didn't get his proposed payrise backdated (As he originally wanted when under negotiation first time around) and the time spurs had him; over the terms of this new contract (as opposed to what he'd have got if we'd gave him it 1st time around) he won't have took that much off of us by the time he's come to the end of this new deal......Of course, that's IF we've bought him back for £2m.

But to me, he's still an untrustworthy, schemin' wee shite.

RE: Pienaar set to sign
The way I look at it is he left, it is would I rather have no Pienaar for nothing, or Pienaar for £2.5m rising to £4.5m. I'd rather have Pienaar.

Glad this is FINALLY getting sorted. Next up we must go after Donovan

I've read somewhere he's forked some money out of his own pocket to make it happen
