Football's most inept board?
Our lot must be the most inept and useless board in the world. Letting Yobo go (after two years out on loan) for £2m after agreeing a £5m deal with fenerbache, and Cahill for £1m is nothing short of criminal. Plus the shameful ineptness regarding Gosling, the release of Saha for nowt, the balls up with Pienaar etc...makes me want to puke.
We must be a laughing stock when you see other teams selling equally average players (not Cahill) for millions. The worst thing is is that this bunch of useless, inept, brainless, average gang of morons who run our club look like they will be with us forever. As Winston Churchill once said, "gawd 'elp us ma'am". |

It could be worse..........
Billox could be a red, just like that "agent johnston" who billox "delivered" us from. But he's a blue, and we're oh so grateful for that, aren't we?

RE: Football's most inept board?
This transfer window is utter chaos. We've signed one player who's not even properly ours yet until FIFA give him clearance, we're f***ing up 2 of what should be simple transfers in selling Yobo to Fener and signing Pienaar, Pranjic and Rodallega were ready to sign but went elsewhere and we've sold Cahill for a tiny fee and not even done a swapsie to get Donovan in!!!

RE: Football's most inept board?
No one would have paid for Cahill - he's injury ridden and at the end of his career.
Gosling ( more through chance than anything else) has proves a good move. He's hardly played a game since he moved and we wouldnt have been able to sell him. I think he was right in the board was being cynical in delaying signing the contract until they knew more about his injury. Fact is though at this stage the team should have been out together for next season by now. We need the wing and a creative player sorted out now. |

In fairness (Although more down to Tim insistin' on the move, I'm told) we're gettin' a fee for Cahill, with the added bonus of one of the top wages off the bill. Other than that, why are people surprised by any of the recent developments? It's not like this doesn't happen every season, is it?

RE: Football's most inept board?
Need to bring in 3/4 more players as our squad is looking very thin even with no injuries.

RE: Football's most inept board?
It's been a pretty disrupted pre-season so far what with the postponement of the Dundee united game and now the Indonesia tour has been cancelled. I wonder what's going to happen to fans who have already paid for that trip? I know the Australian evertons supporters club had booked flights and accommodation, doubt they'll get refunded.
Also with saga hanging over the transfers of yobo and pienaar and now uncertainty over heitinga, I can see us having our normal bad start thanks to these disruptions. One good thing about the Cahill move, it all seems to have been done pretty quickly.

Except the move was at Tim's insistence, I've heard. They let arteta go sharpish when he put a request in, albeit at the last minute.
