It all happens in Chelmsford...
Or the small village of Writtle to be precise , not very nice circumstances for it to be in the news, it's literally a stones throw away from where my grandparents live, both my parents come from there as well when I saw Writtle trending on twitter I had to take a second look!

However if it was your average member of the public rather than a police officer this would have barely made the news.

Spot-on! Emote_19

From today's daily express.....

'Mark Smith, chairman of the Essex Police Federation, added: This appalling incident highlights the dangers that police officers face every day.

Every day? Turn it in plod, we livin' in downtown mogadishu, these days?

Anyway, my "lame to fame" is this sad story. I know the train guard, and the girl's dad, quite well - although I ain't seen him for about 15years or so.

The only thing I can say in the police officers favour in general is that with all the cuts there aren't enough of them and people will be able to get away with more and there aren't enough prison cells with means sentences are shorter and people are less likely to get put inside for certain crimes.

The reason you never see your local plod, is because you don't work at the doughnut counter in greggs.

For the constabularies to save money, what needs to happen is to abolish the automatic overtime of 4hours pay, if pc plod goes 2mins over his/her time. They can knock off 10mins over, and claim 4HOURS pay for it.

Also, plodmobiles get a service (on average) every 4000miles, and got shut of after 3years (When it's up for MoT) So why don't they save money by servicing the normal (beat) motors every 10,000miles (Like a normal car needs) and keeping them for 5years instead? The traffic plod cars can remain on the same schedule.

Imo the plod have had it far too easy over the years, probably since ( maybe before?) the days when they were thatcher's henchmen, and well boxed-off by her & that shower o'shite.

The coppers over here (north of Ireland) have to be the laziest bastards I've ever seen in my life! They do next to nothing and only really get tested when it comes to this time of the year (marching season, 12th July etc) then the bastards have an enormous amount of sick days, think its one of the highest of any police department in Ireland and the uk.

Not exclusive to "norn iron" mucker. They get 6years off for a fookin' paper cut over here ffs.

They're all chief wiggums imo. Why is it plod have to take their hats off to scratch their balls?

(Forgot it's the "glorious" 12th tomorrow - I'll have to get me thunderbirds outfit out Whistle Hope it pisses down on the soft bastards. )

Don't think the lodgers'd round here'd fancy a trip from the tugboat to Clacton, nedward.... Southport's far enough for them (And Southport's fookin' welcome to them - in fact, they're made for each other)

Silly

RE: It all happens in Chelmsford...
Clacton was where the police officer was killed , I no longer have any links to clacton used to go there all the time in the summer as we had a beach hut that way. The man that did it then got in his car and eventually made his way to Writtle .
