HAVE A WORD, DESSIE!!
http://www.kickoff.com/news/29011/everto...adlock.php
Everton, Fener in Yobo deadlock Talks between Everton and Fenerbahce over the permanent transfer of Joseph Yobo have stalled over a difference in valuation. Everton, annoyed at Fenerbahce's penny-pinching, want the 31-year-old back at Finch Farm in early July if no agreement is reached by then. The Nigeria captain is in his second one-year loan spell with the Turkish club, with the initial arrangement being for Fenerbahce to sign him on for a £5-million transfer fee at the end of the loan. But Fener are now baulking at the agreed price and have instead offered Everton £1-million. Yobo has been a key fixture for Fenerbahce, having played all but two games in his two seasons there and quickly becoming a fan favourite. This season, he was an integral part of the side that narrowly missed out on the league title, but won the Turkish Cup and qualified for the Champions League. Sources close to the Turkish side say that while Fenerbahce have been impressed by Yobo's performances in his time with them, their valuation is based on the player's age, meaning there is virtually no resale value. Fenerbahce are also aware that Yobo is on a lucrative contract at Everton, one that still has two years to run and which the finances at Goodison Park can barely afford to continue servicing. Neither the Everton nor the player are keen on continuing that relationship, and Fenerbahce are looking to cash in on that. Expectations from both sides is that an agreement can be thrashed out at around £2-million. Hardfaced bleedin' turks That's the second time they've tried it on. We should f*ck them off, bring him back, play him a few matches to put him in the shop window, and see if we can flog him in January.£1m? Piss-takin' ayrabs. They agreed to £5m first time around. Get down there & chin their chairman, Desmond.

He doesn't want to play for us, we don't want him, we f*cked up the terms with fener etc.... Now we'll just have to accept what we're offered. Incompetence is too kind a word for the f*** wits who run OUR club.

RE: HAVE A WORD, DESSIE!!
Fener Boss has a huge summer villa just down the road from us but has been enjoying some time as a guest of the Turkish prison service.
Fenerbahce are the richest club in Turkey and can certainly afford 5M. Although JY has done reasonably well Fener are suffering with many aging players and need new young blood as do Turkish teams in general. I reckon they may well agree on 2M. Apart from the original deal which Fener are reneging on I think 2M not a bad deal for a player in hos 30s. I’d agree with you, but then we’d both be wrong. Its nice to be home. |
