Pre Season Schedule
So far its

14 July - Morecambe (A) - 2pm
18 July - Dundee United (A) - 7.45pm
21 July - Motherwell (A) - TBC
5 August - Blackpool (A) - 3pm
8 August - AEK Athens (H) - TBC
11 August - Malaga (A) - TBC

I really want to do Malaga, just trying to hear back from mates to see if they can go. I'd imagine theres one more friendly to be announced between Motherwell and Blackpool (date wise perhaps not geographically!)

RE: Pre Season Schedule
And there was me almost believin' you had a method in the doom & gloom you've enlightened us with recently! Tongue

I actually think that's not too bad a run-out. Beats playin' in america, where the football doesn't suit anyone at club level in europe. At least the fans can have a jolly or two, as well - somethin' that america & australia'd bar the vast majority from.

Blackpool's a good start for when the warm-up gets a bit more serious, AEK's fans were great - but the few bubbles that have money'll be spent up from the euro's, so it'll be all the greek restruateurs from the region & aren't malaga CL qualifiers this season?

RE: Pre Season Schedule
MBIB I would agree with you if greece won the euros with athens game malaga is also good but the rest are laughable, with the likes of otherrs playing the milans and munichs in tournments for pre season is a taster what to expect when we do play in europe thats why we fall at first hurdle in europe.
there was talk of middleeast tour but that has not materialised because we have no money to travel far, there was also talk of australia too,all the games we are playing are reachable by bus including athens I have travelled there myself by bus.
Please dont say these fixtures will benefit everton because we all know they wont.
City and united both played barcelona in europe pre sea\son last year, what next season all games will played in england to save on travelling expences I can see everton doing a rangers very soon

Ok, it's not the tournament in portugal I was told we were gonna be entered in, but it's still not that bad, for warm-up purposes.

You've a good point about the travellin' expenses. Easyjet go to liverpool from malaga, and athens - manckchestershire. Plus they'll be back on the first flights home.
