Toffees man a fan of Middle East Everton midfielder Tim Cahill is not ruling out a move to the Middle East amid speculation linking him with Saudi Arabian giants Al Nasr. The Australian is reportedly a key target for the club this summer, with reports suggesting he could earn up to £2.5million for one season if he completed a move. Cahill has played numerous times in the Middle East while representing his country and the 32-year-old, who is contracted at Goodison Park until 2014, has made no secret of his admiration for the region. "I know what the experience is like. I have lived and breathed it," he told AAP. "I have played in two Asia Cups and I have got great connections with a lot of important people overseas. "I come on holiday in the Middle East a lot and I embrace the weather and the culture.'' Despite the heightened speculation, Cahill is pushing the rumours aside so he could concentrate on playing for Australia this month. "All these sort of elements of speculation will be dealt with after camp,'' he added. "It is always a compliment. I am a massive fan of the Middle East, the cultures, the people. "I have travelled a lot and I respect them a lot. For me, it is just to focus on the Socceroos and we will see what happens later.'' Makin' the right noises, it'd be a good move all-round imo. He's contracted until 2014, so added to the moolah the ayrabs'd pay (More than what we'd get from a european team, I reckon) and wage savings.......... I'd be sad to see him go, but he's someone I'd always welcome back. rat kopite -> <-MeJUSTICE FOR EDDIE GILFOYLE!! http://eddiegilfoylesupport.com/the%20ca...foyle).pdf |

RE: Cahill open to Middle East move
I think it's the right time for him to move on. He's served us well and will always be an Everton legend.
The last thing I'd hate is for him to come on as a sub and produce sub-par performances as he has done the season just gone. Chances will be limited and the Saudis will pay him a handsome wage so why not? It's time to bring someone younger who had the hunger Cahill did when he first joined. |

Will be a sad day when tim calls it a day with us. He is everything everton stands for and a model professional but I think if he goes now it will benefit both player and club. I think if he goes osman or Barkley will play his role

He'll leave but he is always welcome to come back. He actually a good model for the Everton. I wonder who will be able to play his role well.

Good luck, god bless Tim. You are a legend. Now let's squeeze every last penny out of the Arabs for him.
