Good luck Woy.
Now I know the majority of you will say you don't give a sh*t about England but I am a bit of a sentimentalist and would love to see England win something again in my lifetime.
I was only a kid when we won in '66 and I actually went into town with my auntie to get my birthday present the day of the final, so I missed the game. I remember we were having something to eat in Lewis's and they had the match on the RADIO over the tannoy. Everyone went mental when the ref blew the final whistle. Being a kid, and with having players like Moore, Charlton, Ball, Banks etc... I thought we'd walk the next one in Mexico and this time I wouldn't miss the final. Alas, and thanks to Peter f***ing Bonetti, we lost to the Germans. That was the beginning of many painful experiences supporting England. For example the game against Poland when their keeper had a blinder, the 'Hand of God' in '86, losing to the Germans in 1990 semi final, the disallowed goal against the Argies in '98 etc....
After that I've refused to get excited about any tournament we participate in but there's always a part of me who hopes for the impossible (especially if any Everton players are involved) so I wish Woy all the best and I hope the 'arry loving media give him a chance.
Now let's go and beat Stoke and end our season on a high. COYB!!

RE: Good luck Woy.
great post. He may not be everyone's first choice but he's a very good coach with a good CV and a lot of experience. Got to give him a chance and get behind him. There's no pressure or expectation on England this summer so maybe we might actually surprise people
