Moyes replacement?

RE: Moyes replacement?
The Sooner Moyes is gone the better , Most of the RS Fans I work with have been gracious and have asked me what happened at half time there were there for the taking and they were expecting the worsted.

Moyes is so negative you could tell by the body shape of the players when they came out , Osman played really well first half then is the second he had given up.

Shite and moyes needs to go.

“Okay you c**ts. Lets see what you can do now.” HIT GIRL

Moyes is a serial bottler. He gives the players the stare but Deep inside he's shitting himself.

RE: Moyes replacement?
We where awful in the first half too. It's amazing how one goal from a long punt up by the keeper clouds that.

I hate to say it but those RS fans are humouring you.

It's one game and yes he did bottle it but he wasn't helped by Drenthe's actions either and while I think he made a mistake not playing or bringing him I can see why he would do that. My oppionion is that if he was sick of his crap and didn't want him permanantely he still should have just put up with him while we where in the cup as we had no-one to replace Pienaar with and even Osman on the other side is nothing more than a journeyman. His job is to manage those kind of situations.

But a couple of good signings funded by a few players sold (Jags and Rodwell) and we could be good for next season. I wouldn't want to risk it with any other manager, god knows how the players we have would react to that. Would Fellani stay? Would Jelavic? Would Baines? - Would he take them with him? Far too risky.

Look what happened to Bolton after they got the man of the moment (Owen Coyle), taking a manager without years of experience at Premiership level is a huge risk.

Jocky Hansen is saying in today's London Evening Express that Moyes needs to move on to prove himself. Now I can't stand this Scottish jockstrap but he might have a point.

Watching Wigan play arsenal I'd love to see Martinez take over us. He'd be a breath of fresh air.

Far too big a task for him. I certainly wouldn't trust him to change our fortunes - not without us takin' a nosedive first. By that time it'd be too late for him AND us. It's not all about tippy-tappy football, anyway.

I'm not arsed how we win - as long as we win. George graham had arsenal as borin' as fook - but "One-nil, to the arsenal" was perhaps the most commonly heard song in the division, during his spell there. ("Borin' borin' arsenal" bein another - but invariably sang by their own fans, anyway - who gives a fook when you're winnin?)

Peter Reid/Joe Royle, with Eddie Howe as assistant for 2years (to learn the ropes) would be my choice.

And combined, they'd still cost less than £65k a week.

RE: Moyes replacement?
I think if Moyes is going to leave it will be this summer (10 years done).

Moyes combines tactical knowledge with good man management - except we rarely see this until the second half of the season due to motivational issues (IMO) - which I believe is often down to a lack of summer activity.

I do think he holds this club together at times, so who one earth will replace him and work with such a small budget?

He certainly won't walk, he's far too stubborn. It will require Chelsea or another team to come calling Everton.

Even then I think he reckons we have more potential than Chelsea.

And I agree.

Except we don't have the finances.

What's 'tippy-tappy' football? Is that attractive football? I'd rather we played attractive football than shite like we played against the RS. I had always hoped that once the Dogs of War crap football kept us up that Moyes would be more adventurous and promote an attractive brand of football but the School of Science is dead and buried I'm afraid!

If Moyes did leave I wouldn't mind seeing Duncan given a chance

When was the last time you seen wigan "mix it"? They stick religiously to their brand of football, just like moyes does with the dross he serves up.

But at least moyes'll take damage limitation into account when we are gettin' beat, wigan don't deviate - ever. That's why they've been thoroughly tw*tted, on several occasions.

"Tippy-tappy's" all very well. It has it's benefits, but it doesn't apply to every single opponent. Some teams you just can't out-football. Similarly, there are teams you can't outmuscle with the "tippy-tappy" ethos.

It's all very well gettin' results against untied & arse & the shite. We could, too, if moyes'd adopt a different strategy - perhaps even, the wigan philosophy. But wigan are close to the bottom for a reason. That reason is because they've been beat more often, and by shite teams.

To go from one extreme to another, without there bein' any "happy medium", simply just doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

The next sourness? You wouldn't have the players gettin' tecups lashed at them - it'd be full urns of scaldin' hot water ffs.

And what about media interviews? Suddenly rescind his self-imposed ban, would he?

No thanks. I'd rather Dong Zhuo than him.
