At school in year 5. Didn't know about it until I got home, was then basically glued to the television for the rest of the day. Don't think I will ever be able to forget that day thoughts with all the families. The documentaries and films have been very good insight into what went on that day but at the same time is shocking and certain parts very distressing to watch.

I was in Caracas, Venezuela. Still remember it like it was yesterday. Everyone was glued to the telly the entire day.

I got picked up from school and was told.

I watched 9/11 Ten Years On on National Geographic yesterday and would highly recommend it (I'm sure it will be repeated a few times). It follows the firemen who had 2 cameramen with them who were filming a documentary, they actually went in and filmed inside the building as it was all happening

I'd just got home (early dart) from college and as soon as I seen the images I remember thinking "this is massive, this will be talked about long after I'm gone" similar to the titanic.

Think i watched that doco as well OJL, missed the start of it though but it was bloody good.

The conspiracy theories are still rife as well and I don't believe them but some do ask a few tough questions which can be hard to explain.

Just been for a pint after finishin' me postal round.

Got home and put the Tv on..... some old film about Lord Nelson on ch4. Put the teletext "latest news" page on, and the headline in the little box read: "LIGHT aircraft crashes into WTC in NY". [!]

I thought it might have been somethin' like a cessna or perhaps a helicopter, so switched BBC1 for anymore teletext news, but they were already broadcasting live.......about 1min later the 2nd plane hit the other tower.............Stunned" just doesn't cut it.

I was unblocking a drain when my missus shouted me to 'come and look at this'.

Thought it was a wind-up at first. Then, as it sank in, I was glued to it for hours.

The blocked drain didn't seem that important afterwards.
