have your say?
have your say get it off your chest ,anything you like from lack of activity at goodison too moaning about the old 606?
for me,am as impatient as anyone when it comes to lack of transfer's at goodison, questions we want answered are as follows? 1) when will moyes sign the reported four year deal on his contract ? as one of the most important people at goodison the club has a duty to keep the fans updated with regards to our managers position with in the club?,is their a problem and thats why they won't announce moyes decision incase it has a damning effect on the sale of season tickets ? 2) the transfer kitty availability in the summer transfer window is a closely guarded secret by the board to stop fans getting to agitated about wether its enough or not for moyes to stay whilst trying to follow on from last season, 3)the kirkby move is like a yoyo up one minute down the next, for a decision on its future it can go either way?latest reports to day by knowsley counsil is that the planning permition will be granted. so why no plan B,regards to building are stadium surely their are other options away from goodison ,is wyeness to get a big fat bonus if tesco's gets all clear to build shops and improve kirkby village as well as a state of the arts football stadia for the future

RE: this is a rant thread?
1) The day Moyes signs a new-deal is the day I will be assured of the club's finances. It's clear that Sir David is holding out for a certain budget. He has the estimation in mind of what it will take to break Everton into the top-4. His signing will re-assure that we will have money to spend this summer. Should old Billy hand anything below 15-20M then i'm sure Moyes will reconsider (THIS IS A HUGE WORRY IN MY HUMBLE OPINION!) because i'm sure any team in the league would love to have Moyes bar Liverpool.
2) What really annoys me is the lack of transfer activity at GP. Whenever i read the daily tabloids a huge chunk of it is dedicated to the top half teams already battling for signatures..WHERE THE HECK ARE WE?!! Do we not fit into that category or are we still unsure how much money there is to spend this summer? 3) Far as Kirby is concerned. It'll NEVER be able to replicate the same atmosphere as Goodison. The stadium is purely for financial basis and you don't need a genius to work out who's hand is behind it. By the time we actually decide on Kirby the RS will already have finished building their shitehole. 4) Even if Kenwright does sell the other two main shareholders are still there. They still have a major part to play. Quite frankly progression is happening but at a slow rate. It's taken time to get so far and it would be a real shame if the likes of Villa and Spuds just overtake us simply due to their American Investors. Not much of a rant but oh well. Afternoon Seft. Hope you're well mate. |

RE: have your say ?
afternoon toffeeboy,
the longer it takes for davey boy to sign a four year deal the more concerned i am about moyes future,i know hes got untill next season but if the blues don't match moyes expectations in the transfer market then the shock of the summer will be at goodison, when moyes says he will see out his contract then go,this could prove to be the straw that breaks the camels back, and nothing else will be expected from the fans other than a complete resignation of the whole board? kirkby will be just another kings dock in the making ,looked good on paper ,but thats just how far it got.

RE: this is a rant thread?
You have outlined what i fear most about our future. If Moyes goes..it's going to take a hell of a time for the next gaffer to catch on. It could be the decisive point of the summer. Nevermind who we sign this summer i'll be more pleased to see a 4-year extension because that will reassure that he will have the backing from the board.
But what frustrates me is..we've broken our record transfer fees for the past few years running..yet it's not enough to please us? I'll have a rant. I EFFING HATE MEMBERS WHO SIT ON THEIR BACKSIDE AND DON'T GET INVOLVED! Forget this thread but even another one..they register and then bugger off somewhere else for "gossip". |

RE: this is a rant thread?
in my experience toffeeboy,
i think the thread is to up setting for some fans to get involved in,newbies, don't like being drawn into an arguement and some regullars may mot like the author of the article (i may be wrong) their's many reasons as to why? members don't wish to contribute, lets face it it is a rant thread,a lot of members won't want to get involved simple as

RE: this is a rant thread?
SEFTON Wrote:in my experience toffeeboy, Also mate, the title of the thread is the most important part! Vaughanichebe has done some classics before! Perhaps changing the title of this thread to something such as "David Moyes' contract talks" or "The summer transfer budget" or something drawing such as "Kirkby finally confirmed?!" would bring in the people. No offence but the current title just seems like normal day banter. We want passion Sefty! To be honest considering the other threads on the forum this wouldn't go amiss! ![]() I love the sly hint of people may dislike the author of the thread. You know how much i hate you don't you mate! :gigg::nahnahna: But on a serious note, this is a good debateable thread. I'll be happier the day somebody other than the originals come along and have their two-pence worth of say. Heading down the chippies soon. Fancy anything? I'll email it to you. :t2807: |

SEFTON Wrote:you can get me a fresh cod, don't batter it just stick it nin the nearest river, probley get it next year I nearly misread your sentence then!
