What I found the other day
The other day I was rummagging through some stuff and guess what I found?
I found my dad's programme from the 1995 Charity Shield at Wembley against Blackburn ![]() I was looking through it and it really hit just how long ago our last Wembley visit was when I saw an article about EURO 96 which was a year away! I also then realised that the time between our 1985 Cup Winner's Cup winning team and our FA Cup win in 1995 is much smaller than the amount of time we've been trophyless for. We need to spend spend spend this summer and have a glorious day out at Wembley this year or if not next year, it's been too long. ![]() "Stay at this club as long as you can because there is only one way after leaving this club, and that is down." http://www.theblueunion.com/ |

RE: What I found the other day
I'd love to go to wembley. When we won the fa cup in 95 my mum and dad went. A few of my mates went aswel, they talked about it for ages after, I was so jealous

RE: What I found the other day
It sickens me that I've been supporting Ebbsfleet as my 3rd team for a few months and I've already seen them lift a trophy at Wembley but I've never seen Everton at Wembley (I was to young to remember 95)

On the course we are at the minute I think it's only a matter of time. I'd like to say this or the following season I hope to be going to wembley

RE: What I found the other day
i must be one of the lucky ones as i have seen everton lift the fa cup against watford 1984 man united in 1995, i also went to wembley in the charity sheild against blackburn in 1995 when vinnie sideways scored the only goal in a dower encounter.

RE: What I found the other day
I still have the semi-final against spurs and the final from 95 programmes knocking about - the final one is a great read!
"During my time at Everton, Goodison Park came to feel like a second home, with the supporters of the club, and the people of the city becoming a second family to me. If you were to take Everton out of the City, I firmly believe the club could no longer call itself the ‘People’s Club’ and I give my whole-hearted support to the campaign to keep Everton in the City" - Duncan Ferguson "My aim is to be an academy coach at Everton." - Joe Parkinson Like what you see?
