Ross Barkley & the size of our midfield
Do you think he is a winger or a central midfielder?

I think he will be played in the hole or central midfield as a playmaker... he's 6ft 2 so is not really built up to be on the wing, but clearly he has the feet and skill Laughing

On size - is it really is a positive? Whilst the smaller, nimble players like Osman, Arteta and, when we had him, Pienaar provided us with more creativity and attacking flair, the size of our midfield is increasing: Rodwell 6ft 2, Barkley 6ft 2 and Fellaini 6ft 5. In the center of midfield that can be strong defensively.

Barkley personally is being hyped because of absolutely no signings... and because he's a scouser, evertonian and a above all a good player but I think he'd be eased in if we had actually signed the players everyone can see we need

RE: Ross Barkley & the size of our midfield
Long term he will play in the centre, he is a box to box player. We will probably introduce out wide where theres not as much pressure, just like what the RS did with Gerard.
