Points against the top 4

Points against the top 4
Last season we picked up a possible 1 from 24 points against Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool last season.
Obviously there were other poor results but this is the main thing that has to be achieved next season. If we are going to break into the top 4 we need to be able to beat them.
What/who do you think we need to be able to beat them?

RE: Points against the top 4
If we get a couple of quality midfielders incoming then think i'd like to see Moyes go 4-4-2 against the top teams next season.

RE: Points against the top 4
jo It all boils down to money,we have none,we need taking over and thats not going to happen until the ground is sorted out,we may not go to kirkby now because of the new cost,we need to upgrade goodison which means 2 seasons looking ata building site with a half full stadium, everton have been dumped into a dustbin and told to piss in the corner, having that corner to piss In then we will be free from any worries,Until the ground is sorted, kirkby ,goodison or groundshare,no one will want to invest in the club and the high profile players will be put off,I can only see a dark period for us which may last a few seasons, lets just hope we dont get relegated

RE: Points against the top 4
I agree that the 'sky 4' are where we desperately need more points next season. I think Arsenal and Liverpool in particular, and wouldnt be at all surprised to take 0 points from Manure and Chelski next year.

Not so sure i agree about 4-4-2 though. If we get a couple of more quality midfielders all the more reason to play 4-5-1. Johnson isnt good enough to play against them with the Yak. If we upgrade with a Jo/Owen type stiker, sure go 4-4-2. But If we get a quality Attacking Midfielder, Defensive midfielder and winger; all the more reason to go 4-5-1 to me.

RE: Points against the top 4
I think on our day we could beat all four of them at Goodison. We only got one point this season but we deserved a lot more.

Both Man U games we conceded late on otherwise we would of have got an extra 2 points.

Chelsea - we got a draw away and deserved to lose at home.

Arseanal - I thought we deserved to get a point at the Emirates and had bad luck and bad refereeing at Goodison.

Liverpool - We deserved to lose at anfi*ld and we all know what we think about what happened at Goodison.

RE: Points against the top 4
I think we need to be aiming at drawing all the home games against them, maybe winning one. We should be drawing at the RS and Arsenal as well. I don't mind losing at Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge
