Moyes asking for more money

Moyes asking for more money
Moyes has said he's going to ask the board for more money so he can bring in some quality players, probably Bentley or Van Der Vaart.

"If we want a club which keeps aiming to progress, then we have to try to keep bringing in good players. I’m going to push the board hard not just to spend the Joleon money but to spend more.”

“Bill Kenwright is doing everything he can to get me the money because we don’t have a big financial backer.”

RE: Moyes asking for more money
By the sound of it, he's trying to get his hands on his original budget, which he obviously wants to spend......either the bank or one of the Directors might be of the opinion that once he's spent the Lescott fee - that should be his lot.

There's only one winner of this argument & it's the ginger Scotsman - I just hope he knows what he's doing with regards to Bentley, who's a thick beaut IMO
Just read that Modric has broken his leg - so hopefully that's the end of the Bentley story Smile

RE: Moyes asking for more money
10 million for a pisshead with talent is way over the limit. (no pun intended)

It's Shandy all over again. VDM was a quality winger when he was at Inter but obviously the English lifestyle got the better of him.

As far as Van Der Vaart the only thing i see is his huge wage demands which we might not be able to afford.

RE: Moyes asking for more money
I think DM is doing the right thing, pressurising Bill to give him more funds, as inevitably he will either have to find investment or leave eventually. BK knows at the end of the day that us fans value DM 100 times higher than him, and DM by the looks of it knows that too. There will only ever be one winner.

Bluer than a smurf caked in blueberries.

It sounds like moyes if backing bk does it not? It's not a matter of whether bk shoulg give the money its whether he can or not. If you're arguing about that you should probably read the article.

RE: Moyes asking for more money
So he f***ing should. I would expect another 20M to spend if I were him. We sold Lescott for £24m and spent £15m so that leaves £9M left but that would mean we would of had no budget prior = sell to buy.

We rode our luck today so I hope moyes knows what hes doing
