Form: Everton - Win / Draw / Win / Draw / Draw = 9 pts from 15

Position: Everton are 10th in the Premier League on 33 points, fourteen places above Blackpool who are in the Championship. Everton have a negative goal difference of -1 while Blackpool have a goal difference of +14.

Lawrenson prediction: 2-1 victory
Blackpool won again in midweek, on the road at Doncaster, and they are now unbeaten in their last 10 games going back to the start of 2012 and are right in the thick of the Championship promotion race. Blackpool's last defeat came against Birmingham on New Year's Eve Like Birmingham boss Chris Hughton, Seasiders manager Ian Holloway has done a great job to get them back on course after their relegation from the Premier League last season. You have to get the mindset of your players right, because some of them might think that they can cruise after going down because, once they have played in the top flight, the second tier is easy. You can't, and it isn't. We know what a good man-motivator Holloway is. He will make sure Blackpool go to Everton and have a real go at them. I think this will be a cracking game, and quite an open tie. Everton are a tough nut to crack at the moment, though. As I've said before, the additions they made in January have made a massive difference and completely changed the direction their season was heading in. In December it was all doom and gloom for Evertonians, who were wondering where all the money had gone and what was happened to their club. But because of their uplift in form through some innovative work in the transfer window by Toffees boss David Moyes, they are in a healthy position in the Premier League and able to make a real push for the FA Cup. Everton are traditionally a second half of the season team anyway, and you would expect them to continue their good form now they have picked up.

My prediction: 2-1 victory
This will be a very tough tie, Blackpool are on an amazing run at the moment and could well be coming back up to the Premier League on current form. That said, we are also starting to look good and we can certainly handle a physical challenge, and are quality should take us over the finish line. Anticipate an injury or two, but we must go into this strong as the cup looks to be our most feasible route to Europe.

Really tough tie Blackpool are playing well however that might work in our favour as we always play shite against poor teams and do well against the better teams weird

Jelavic apparently not fit enough for this one.

Jelavic is filling in for saha in keeping the physio busy. At least Coleman has returned, for the reserves at least.
