Merry Christmas from the FollowEverton team! As a Christmas treat, we have added a new poll for you to vote for your Player of 2008. The poll is below.

Here is hoping for a even better year as a Blue… Liver pool not winning the league and maybe *we wish* some silverware for Everton…

Relax this evening (if possible!) – and make it better by joining us in the FE forums. To register click here – it only takes a second.

You might of also noticed we’ve changed the look of the website. We’ve made some font sizes bigger, done a two toned background, took away some clutter and we’ll be improving it graphically over the next day or so. Thank Ryan for his hard work.

James Vaughan is set to be sidelined for the whole duration of the festive break. The England U-21 injured his right knee during training prior to the Wigan match. A scan indicated that an operation was necessary to prevent further problems and discomfort.

The loss will come as a blow to the toffees in their quest to maintain a potential push for a European place. The result at Wigan has been made even more painful with the news of the loss of such an exuberant character.

I think I speak for most in saying get fit soon Vaughany. A career that has already been blighted by injury really needs a bit of consistency and a decent run out in the first team as soon as possible to keep the hot shot’s morale high.

An expected return date is the home fixture against Hull on Saturday the 10th of January. A must win with fixtures against Liverpool and Arsenal following on from the tiger’s visit to Goodison.
