Everton have had a bid in the region of £5million accepted by Atletico Madrid for defender Johnny Heitinga. The Dutchman who can operate at right-back and centre-back would be the final piece in the jigsaw for the Everton defence. Everton hope to tie up a deal today but there are concerns that the deal could collapse as Everton struggle to match Heitinga’s high wage demands.
