Everton make first major move as Jo joins

By Ian Phillips • Jul 7th, 2009 • Category: News |

In the summer of 2008 it took Everton 87 days to make their first major signing of the transfer window with the signing of Lars Jacobsen from Nurnberg. Fears of a repeat this year have been allayed 37 days since the end of the season after Everton announced that Jo has joined the squad in Scotland for pre-season training prior to a season long loan move from Eastlands. More good news from the deal is that it will have no bearing on any potential deal that could see Joleon Lescott heading the other day. Everton have also confirmed the signing of 17 year old Shrokdan Mustafi with the obscure signing of Anton Peterlin from Ventura County Fusion set to be confirmed.
