I always said, what happened benefited us all. Rooney could have went about it a more mature manner, but, he was young, and didnt think before he spoke. We got a great price for the one player at the time who could play with the ball, but who always go it passed to when he was double, sometimes triple marked. We would all leave are current employer tomorrow if someone offered 25% on top of the salary being offered, and that is what he did. I would love a 30 year old Rooney back in the blue shirt, on a free, scoring a hatrick against the redsh*te. On both accounts, we should never burn are bridges, and thanks to wayne, we now have, cahill, arteta, yakubu, howard etc.
